Located in the historical center, overlooking the river Arno and a stone’s throw from the National Library and the Basilica of Santa Croce, the apartment is on the first floor (with elevator) of an ancient Florentine building.
The apartment is owned by two young local artists who spend only a few weeks a year in Florence. The apartment is very bright and has a remarkable view. In fact, from the living room it is possible to admire the famous hill of Piazzale Michelangelo, the tower of San Niccolò and the stairs and fountains of the architect Poggi, all the way up to San Miniato church
The apartment develops over five rooms: a large and bright living room overlooking a private garden and the Arno river, then a lunch area and kitchen, a master bedroom, a second bedroom, full bathroom with tub and shower and a smaller bathroom. Both bedrooms overlook the bell tower of Santa Croce and the romantic garden of the Pestalozzi school. The first room has a double bed, while the second room has a queen size bed. The living room is also equipped with a large double sofa bed.
The kitchen is spacious and widely equipped allowing to cook comfortably.
The apartment’s main feature is its brightness together with the fascinating views it offers on both sides: the living room overlooks the river watching towards the tower of San Niccolò, with a wide view towards Piazzale Michelangelo and the Rampe del Poggi. On the other side, the bedrooms look towards the back of the Basilica of Santa Croce and its nineteenth-century bell tower. The large school’s garden extends the view enriched by the beautiful trees and plants that compose it.
The building is located 100 meters from the National Library and 400 meters from Piazza Santa Croce. The apartment position right by the river makes it particularly easy to reach the neighborhood of San Niccolò and Oltrarno, as well as Ponte Vecchio and the Uffizi Galleries which are only 800 meters away.
